About Me

I am an aspiring environmentalist/environmental justice advocate. I believe that there is a strong intersectionality between climate change, environmental injustice and our unhealthy reliance on nonrenewable resources. It is up to us, the average citizen, to take the situation into our hands.

My experience includes working as an intern at the Center for International Environmental Law. I have written a senior thesis project on environmental justice issues in Thailand. I will be volunteering in Thailand for 2 weeks, specifically teaching children English, developing sustainable farming practices and helping out at an elephant sanctuary. Although all of this has helped shaped me as a person, I expect and look forward to continuing to grow and refining my values as my experience grows as well.

My end goal is to start my own nonprofit environmental justice organization that emphasizes on issues in Asia. I believe that every single person has an equal right to have access to a healthy and safe environment. Being a first-generation Vietnamese woman, I believe it is one of my responsibilities to bring equality and a voice to those who remain, unwillingly, voiceless.
